Musicians on Mazinaw

Attached is a fun video of a great day on the Mazinaw.  (to be uploaded soon) Enjoy!

It all started out when cottagers Bill and Andrea Jefferson had two couples visiting their cottage in German Bay.  Three women of the group are musicians with the Brampton Symphony.  John and Betty MacDonald were invited over to listen to their concert and it was suggested that everyone load in to their pontoon boat and cruise around the lake, sharing the music.  They weren't expecting the high winds that were blowing on that day but never the less they had such a grand time and lots of fun and appreciative audiences wherever they went.  It was quite the challenge duck taping the music stands to the pontoon floor and using clothes pins to keep the music sheets from blowing away.

They started cruising around the lake, starting at their cottage on the south point of Campbell's bay, travelled into German bay, around past the rock and into the lagoon continuing south into Snider bay, and back north into Campbell's bay to the east shore to serenade Stan and Shirley King, followed the north shore and then realizing they had been cruising for just over 3 hours....bladders yelling at some, they made their way back home.  Sounds like a lot of fun was had by many.  All I can say is that I hope if they do it again they head the other way and serenade the bays in Addington Highlands as well. Would love to see the concert.  What a great idea.  Thanks to Betty for sharing her story.
